Fragrance-Free 101

Fragrance-Free 101

Clean beauty has become more sought-after thanks to its holistic, skin-boosting benefits. Clean products contain safe, non-toxic ingredients that will not harm the body or skin. With so many claims and clean beauty seals, it can be confusing to know what to look for, so you still need to do your homework and read product labels carefully.

Fragrance-Free vs. Unscented

When it comes to terms like fragrance-free and unscented, there's a difference. Fragrance-free products do not contain any fragrances or essential oils. These products are safer for people with sensitive skin, eczema or chemical allergies. Unscented products have chemicals and fragrances that mask aromas and scents, which could irritate sensitive skin.

Is Fragrance-Free Skincare Better?

Not all fragrances are harmful. Some benefit physical and mental health, which is the basis of aromatherapy. Lavender is one of the most widely used fragrances and can help ease anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Orange has antimicrobial and pain-relieving properties.

People with known allergies to certain fragrances must avoid them. However, most people can tolerate and benefit from certain fragrances in moderate concentrations. In fact, some scents have the power to relax, reset or rejuvenate the mind. Proper product selection is critical to avoiding many common skin concerns, which is why we conduct rigorous testings to safeguard products for sensitive skin.

How To Create A Fragrance-Free Routine?
