- Sensitive / Intolerant skin Do you know over 50% of women consider their skin sensitive in some degree?
- Redness-prone skin Redness-prone skin is usually characterized by flushing and redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
- Dry, dehydrated skin Usually, water is diffused regularly and continually through the dermis to the surface of the skin, moistening the different layers of the skin. When it reaches the horny layer, the water evaporates. However, lipids (fats) on the surface form a hydrolipidic film with the water and regulate evaporation.
- Wounded skin The ability to heal is one of the most remarkable properties of human tissue. After a skin is injured, the deep tissues regenerate to repair the wound and bring it to the normal skin surface level. Then the epidermis closes up from the edges of the wound.
- Oily / Acne-prone skin Acne is one of the first signs of puberty, the set of transformations brought about when the reproductive glands “start up” from suprarenal stimulation (of the ovaries for girls, of the testicles for boys). These glands produce hormones that will “flood” the body. Acne is linked to an exacerbated skin sensitivity, particularly of the sebaceous glands.
- Aging skin Beside the age factor, your skin can also be damaged from the environmental aggressions such as excess sun (ultraviolet rays), attacks of cold weather, smoking, and pollution.
